Tina holds a Master's Degree in Art Education and has been teaching art for over 30 years. She teaches a variety of art classes in Wilmington, NC and surrounding areas. In addition to local community and studio locations, Tina also teaches at Cape Fear Community College and UNCW. Take a look at upcoming opportunities to learn. Intro to Watercolor Painting: Techniques to Build a Solid Foundation - 4 session course
Students will learn beginning techniques to build a strong foundation in watercolor. Introductory color theory methods, instruction on techniques, info on materials, paints, paper, brushes, and micron pens will be provided. We will use flowers or other natural materials as a reference along with photos. The supply fee will include a watercolor kit to keep, various additional supplies, and a quick reference info document. No experience necessary.

Weaving with Meaning
This course is introductory, but could easily also be taken by someone already familiar with weaving. Students will use a lap loom to create a weaving that incorporates meaning through color, texture, and alternate material selection. No previous weaving skills are required. A discussion of theme will be used as a starting point to initiate a woven piece on a lap loom. Each piece will be unique. Various weaving techniques will be taught, as well as the preparation of the loom and display techniques for completed pieces. The $25 supply fee will include a lap loom and various other supplies that the student will keep for future use. All other supplies provided.

Studio Foundations of Art - Color Theory, Composition, etc..
- 4 class Course
This course will explore the studio foundations of art. Color Theory, Composition, Elements and Principles, Perspective, etc.. through hands-on lessons. This valuable course can enhance your work with any medium. In the class, we will be using various media to learn important foundational information about creating art. Learning the foundations of art will help you bring your creations to the next level. All supplies are provided. Participants will also receive a handout booklet with course relevant information.

Intro to Nuno Felting - 1 day Workshop
Learn how to create beautiful scarves with wool, silk fabric, and soap. No sewing required! Spend the day learning about nuno felting and making a beautiful, one of a kind scarf - just in time for cold weather! All supplies are provided in this one-day workshop. Small class size allows for lots of one-on-one instruction. We will stop for 30 minutes to eat lunch - bring your own. Microwave and Refrigerator on site.
